T&F – Spring Break at Stanford and Arcadia Invitationals

All I can say is, ‘Acalanes Track & Field are no fools’. Saturday, April 1st, brought a dry, bluebird day to the Cobb Track and Angell Field in Palo Alto at the Stanford Invitational. It was the first dry meet we have had in a long time so it was wonderful to watch all the hard work pay off for these athletes.

The Boys 400m Relay will compete at the Arcadia ‘Meet of Records’ Invitational this Saturday. GO DONS!

The Stanford Invitational Team – Back row: Carly, Natalie, Ethan, Kyle, Luca, Paul, Portia. Front row: Tori

The Girls 400m relay was an impressive showing as these are some of the fastest legs in the state. The time difference between the winning Long Beach Poly High School and Acalanes was 3.42 seconds. Our girls were strong and mighty and ran a season PR which shows they came to run and compete, even if winning against their own time.

Girls 400m relay – Portia Seymour, Natalie Lyons, Carli Young-Harriman, Tori Hiatt

The Boys 400m relay was fueled by redemption and the need for speed. The talent and determination in these four men was palpable and felt across the stadium. Brilliant race and a 2nd place for our Guys. They will take track this weekend in Arcadia.

Next week, we are back and training hard as we prepare to host the 53rd Bob Warren/Charlie Eaton Relays, Friday and Saturday April 14th & 15th, which is one of the biggest Invitationals for the North Coast Section. Please come out and support and cheer on this incredible group.
