The Junior Varsity Dons scored a razor-thin victory against the much-improved Las Lomas Knights on Thursday, splitting the sets at 25-21 and 22-25. The one-point edge was much tighter than the 32-point drubbing the Dons delivered to the Knights when the teams met on May 5. Thursday’s game held the crowd in suspense with many cheers and oohs, with both…
Last night, your Dons returned home to take on the Las Lomas Knights in their last match of this abbreviated 2021 campaign. It was Senior Night, which of course had been postponed once already, and the eleven senior Dons showed their Acalanes Blue and White with pride, poise and class. As a bonus, there was an invitation-only, or pretty much,…
On Tuesday May 25th, at the Acalanes Freshman Lady Dons’ “End of Season” Banquet, Coach Roman quipped: “This team…has swagger… And swag…is a good thing to have.” The following day, the Lady Dons swaggered into the Foothill Middle School gym where they would face a Northgate Bronco team that looked eerily similar to themselves: cool, confident, intimidating, graceful, hard-hitting, tenacious,…
