With straight-set wins over Marin Catholic on Tuesday and Piedmont on Thursday the #3 seed Acalanes Boys Volleyball team moves on to face #2 Moreau Catholic away in Hayward next Tuesday. 

The Marin win went fairly straightforward, but Piedmont was much more of a challenge. The Dons had to come from behind late to capture the first set 26-24, before settling in to win 25-18 and 25-22. Junior setter Miles Thomas distributed the ball beautifully to Junior Evan Sverak, and Seniors Joe Castelli, and Liam Hill who had 10, 10 and 7 kills respectively. The defense was anchored by crisp passing from Junior Doug (Roberts), and a couple key blocks from Sophomore Mattox Malm. 

A win Tuesday advances the Dons to the Finals, and also most likely punches a ticket to the State Championships. Good luck in Hayward!!
