It was a perfect afternoon for a swim meet yesterday – too hot and swimmers don’t do well.  Too cold, and…same!  But yesterday was JUST RIGHT, and the Dons showed what they can do! Top 24 finishers qualify for A/B/C Finals on Saturday with a max of four from each school. 

Malin S, Anna M, Tess V and Anika R started the Dons blaze that kept going all meet long – clocking a 1:48.41 finishing 4th place in the 200 Medley Relay – this is over 5 seconds UNDER the NCS Automatic time, 2.5 seconds under the STATE consideration time, and 1.5 seconds off a STATE AUTOMATIC TIME!  It also happens to be the new #4 on the All-Time AHS Top 10 List!  Way to go girls!  The B team of Ava B, Addison S, Lily B and Sara W went NCS Cons in their 14th place finish. Not to be outdone, the boys team of Braden D, Jayden H, Cruz T and Gunnar G finished 2nd overall, with 1:38.28 – just 0.3 seconds off an NCS Automatic time!  This swim also places them at #9 on the AHS All-Time Top 10 List!  The B team of Max M, Gavin B, Brad B and Thomas B-K finished 13th in an NCS Cons time. 

Ella D finished 6th in the 200 Free in an NCS Automatic time!  Karly T was 15th, with an NCS Cons time. Sophia S finished 19th, Finley G was 21st, and Gen B was 31st.  Braden D also finished 6th overall in the boys race with a solid NCS Cons time of 1:44.39, putting him at #9 on the AHS All-Time Top 10 List!  Great job Braden!  Andrew T finished 16th, Aiden C 20th, Gavin B 25th, Jonathan J 28th. Dane S 29th, Owen A 31st, and Jay S 33rd.  

Malin S finished 8th in the 200 IM in an NCS Automatic time! Anna M finished in 10th, Addison S was 12th and Perri S was 18th – all swam NCS Cons times!  Jayden H and Charlie H finished 22nd and 23rd in the boys race.  

Anika R finished 4th in the 50 Free in an NCS Automatic time!  Adelyn H was 18th, Jayna G was 19th, Lily B was 24th, Sara W and Elinor C tied for 27th, Sophia H 37th, Jess G 38th, Ava B 42nd, Finley G 62nd and Gen B 70th. Gunnar G finished 8th in the boys race, 0.17 off an NCS Automatic time. Wilson D finished 19th in an NCS Cons time. Max M was 25th, Thomas B-K was 30th, Brad B 42nd, Peter E 49th, Jonathan J 56th, and Owen A 64th.  

Tess V finished 6th in the 100 Fly in a solid NCS Cons time, with Jayna G in 14th and Sophia S in 22nd. Cruz Tamayo finished 3rd in the boys race in 51.94, an NCS Cons time and is now #9 on the AHS All-Time Top 10 list! This is Cruz’ FOURTH appearance on our All-Time Top 10 List.  Did I mention he’s a FRESHMAN? Braden Dunton finished 8th, with 52.67 (this time was #9 for about two minutes until Cruz swam in a later heat after Braden established his record, but he still deserves to be acknowledged for those two minutes he spent on the Top 10 All Time List – GO BRADEN!) Mason S finished 16th in an NCS Cons time, Ryan G was 34th and Lachlan T was 41st. 

Ella D finished 2nd overall in the 100 Free, in a solid NCS Cons time. Sara W finished 18th, Lily B was 20th, Jess G 26th, Audrey M 28th, Sophia H 34th and Brooke R 42nd. Gunnar G finished 10th in the boys race in a solid NCS Cons time. Andrew T was 21st, Max M 23rd, Thomas B-K 25th, Wilson D 26th, Peter E 34th, and Brad B 42nd. 

Karly T finished 6th in the 500 Free, in a solid NCS Cons time! Aiden C finished 15th in the boys race, with Charlie H in 17th and Ryan G in 22nd. 

In the 200 Free Relay, the girls team of Jayna G, Elinor C, Lily B and Ella D finished 5th in an NCS Cons time. The B team of Ava B, Jess G, Sophia H and Sara W finished 14th, also in an NCS Cons time. In the boys race, the A team of Wilson D, Andrew T, Max M and Mason S finished 9th in a solid NCS Cons time.  The B team of Thomas B-K, Lachlan T, Jay S and Dane S finished 20th. 

Malin Stone finished 4th overall in the 100 back in 59.20, an NCS Automatic time!  This moves her from #10 AHS All-Time to #5 on the Top 10 List!  GO MALIN!!!  Tess V and Anika R finished 6th and 7th in NCS Cons times.  Brooke R finished 32nd.  In the boys race, Cruz Tamayo finished 4th overall in a solid NCS Cons time of 53.64.  He moves from #9 to #6 on the AHS All-Time Top 10 List!  GO CRUZ!!! Mason S finished 13th in an NCS Cons time.  Dane S was 19th.  

Addison S finished 5th in the 100 Breast with a 1:06.03 – an NCS Automatic time!  She also rockets from #10 to #5 on the AHS Top 10 All Time List!  GO ADDISON!  Anna M finished 9th, Audrey M was 15th, Adelyn H 18th and Elinor C 19th, all swimming NCS Cons times. Perri S was 26th. Jayden H finished 17th in the boys race, in an NCS Cons time! Gavin B was 28th, Jay S was 40th.  

The 400 Free Relay girls team of Malin S, Anika R, Jayna G and Ella D finished 3rd overall in an NCS Automatic time! The B team of Karly T, Brooke R, Perri S and Elinor C also went NCS Cons in their 14th place finish.  In the boys race, the A team of Gunnar G, Braden D, Mason S and Cruz T finished 5th overall in a strong NCS Cons time. The B team of Andrew T, Charlie H, Brad B and Aiden C finished 12th, also in an NCS Cons time!
