JV WOMEN’S LACROSSE TEAM FINISHES PERFECT 17-0 — TOTAL DOMINATION!

After steamrolling Campo and Miramonte earlier in the week, the incredible Acalanes JV Women’s Lacrosse Team had one final mission left: complete the nearly impossible with a PERFECT UNDEFEATED SEASON. And they did it in spectacular fashion, overwhelming Las Lomas 16-3 in a game that honestly was never even that close.

With the victory, the Dons finished an astonishing 17-0 overall and 8-0 in league play, standing alone as the ONLY Acalanes team in 2025-2026 to complete an undefeated season. In a school filled with elite programs and championship-level teams, these young women separated themselves from everyone else.

TOTAL. FIRE.

The final game also honored the program’s nine outstanding juniors, all of whom started and helped set the tone immediately. From the opening draw, the Dons exploded to a 3-0 lead and buried the Knights under an 11-1 halftime avalanche. The energy, pace, toughness, and execution were overwhelming.

Las Lomas had absolutely no answers for the relentless offensive machine led by Allie Schofield, Lexi Chaput, Lucy Hamilton, Talia Tichenor, Stella DeGroot, Eloise Greeson, and Estee Romick, who all found the back of the net. Even the defenders got into the action as Avila Payne, Riley Zirkle, and Caroline Tumulty added goals and assists in another complete team performance.

Goalie Persephone Quinn once again stood tall with four saves and complete command in net.

The midfield absolutely owned the game. Chloe Vignoles, Allie, Eloise, and Lucy controlled every inch of the field with nonstop hustle, draw controls, transition play, and lockdown defense. First-year middies Brooke Lewis, Emilia Deutsch Stella, and Quinn Curley continued to shine and proved once again the future of this program is terrifyingly bright.

Defensively, the Dons were nearly impenetrable all season long and this game was no different. Bea Deignan, Riley, Caroline, Avila Payne, Rory O’Farrell, Livvy Lewis, and Penny Haslam anchored a defense that suffocated opponents all year. Freshmen Hadley Hastings, Sydney Piacente, Zoya Sainath, and Cameron Koch brought incredible intensity and toughness every single possession.

The attack unit was relentless from start to finish, dominating possession, riding hard, creating turnovers, and even killing penalties with ease. Talia, Stella, Lexi, Savanna Martinez, Yali Avrahami, Estee, and Eloise “Louie” Kubas were unstoppable all afternoon. They were backed by an outstanding group of rising players including Willow Ward, Farran Staino, Kennedy Wilson, Phoebe Ambrosini, Oona Salo, Genevieve Tenorio, Serafina Cook, Sienna Pignatelli, Katie Sanguinet, and Abby Haimovici.

What makes this team truly special goes beyond the wins. These young women brought heart, hustle, grit, energy, and togetherness every single day. They never quit. They never backed down. And despite only having two close games all year, they somehow continued to elevate their intensity every time they stepped onto the field.

The numbers are simply staggering:

· Juniors over three years: 51 wins, 1 loss

· Sophomores over two years: 34 wins, 1 loss

· Conference record during that stretch: UNDEFEATED

· Record against Campo and Miramonte during that time: 12-0

And the sideline energy? Absolutely legendary. The spirit, chemistry, and camaraderie of this group may have been unmatched. At one point, even the Las Lomas coach became frustrated and accused the Dons of being “too physical” before later apologizing after the game. The reality is simple: the Dons played hard, fast, disciplined lacrosse within the rules — and nobody could match it.

This team represented everything great about Acalanes athletics. They played for each other. They played with pride. They played with joy. And they played as ONE TEAM ALWAYS.

There is still be offseason work ahead as everyone can always improve, but right now they are perfection. These young women are DAL Champions, undefeated legends, and an extraordinary group of 48 student-athletes who proudly represent Acalanes High School both on and off the field.

PERFECT SEASON. UNDISPUTED CHAMPS. 17-0.

GOOOOOOOOO DONSSSSSSSS!!!!!!
