The boys golf team was firing on all cylinders yesterday with a dominant performance over Campolindo. The fireworks started on the 11th hole of Contra Costa Country Club, when Grant Gebhardt (Jr) knocked in his approach shot on hole 11 for an eagle (-2). From there, the entire team played their hearts out and posted a season-best 176 (-4) for the first under-par match of the season. This also marks the lowest score for the team in the past 3 years. The Dons beat the Cougars by 20 strokes with a final score of 176-196. Top scorers for the Dons were Gebhardt with a 33 (-3) and Durham Vail (Jr) with a 34 (-2). This win puts the Dons at the top of the league standings as the only undefeated team for the season thus far, with 4 matches to go. Dons JV squad meets up with Campo on Wednesday so stay tuned for details!
