Dons Run, Jump & Throw, Broncos Feel the Burn

On a pleasant Wednesday afternoon the Dons graced the Falcon’s track in Walnut Creek and came away with an overwhelming Boy’s victory (79.5-56.5) and a near miss for the Girls, losing by 8 points after conceding 36 points pre-meet not running in 4 events due to a few injuries and some pacing to stay healthy for upcoming major invitationals and the DAL Championship.

Some highlighted performances for the day included:

Triple Event Winners–

Paul Kuhner (Sr): 100M (10.75), 200M (21.69)…a season record, 7th best in the state this year, and 4×100 Leg 4 in a season best (42.47) 

Deonte Littlejohn (So): Shotput (42′ 2″), Discus (115’9″0, Leg 1 4×100

Haley Chelemedos (Jr): 100M (13.21 PR), Shotput (28′ .5″), Leg 2 4×100

Dual Event Winners–

Trevor Rogers (Sr): Triple Jump 42′ 1.5″…a PR and good for 7th best in NCS in first TJ in ~ 2 years, Leg 2 2 4×100 along with 2nd in the 100M (10.92)

River Lockwood (So): 110M High Hurdles (17.29) and 300M High Hurdles (43.59)
