BOYS VOLLEYBALL CAP GREAT SEASON WITH NCS SEMIS AND FOUR ALL-LEAGUE SELECTIONS

The Dons Boys Volleyball Team wrapped up a very successful season with a 17-9 record, a run to the NCS Semi-finals, and placed four players on the DAL all-league teams.

Senior Joseph Castelli led the way in earning 1st Team All-league while fellow senior Liam Hill (pictured above) and junior Evan Sverak made 2nd Team All-league. Junior Miles Thomas was given Honorable Mention and also was awarded the Dons Most Improved Player for the season.

The Dons began the NCS playoffs with straight-set wins at home over Marin Catholic and Piedmont. The Dons then traveled to #2 seed Moreau Catholic and took a tough loss after battling the Mariners to the wire in the final set, losing 30-28 after almost closing the victory with several match point opportunities.

The Dons lose a lot of talent from the senior class but look forward to the returning junior and sophomores along with additions from this year’s freshmen and JV teams. This year featured the largest turnout in Acalanes history and our first-ever freshmen team.
