JV Girls Lacrosse Easily Defeats Northgate 14-1

On Friday night the lady lacrosse JV Dons continued their winning ways by jumping out to a 10-0 halftime lead and cruising to a 14-1 victory. As has been most of the season so far this game was never in doubt.

There were so many contributions from different players. Campbell Evans had 3 goals and 2 assists, Emily Roberts had 3 goals and three loose balls, Claire Zimmerman had two goals and a loose ball, Cameron Thornton had two goals, two assists and two loose balls, Charlotte Gellman had a goal, an assist and four loose balls, Reese Imrie had an assist and four draw controls, and a loose ball.

Also scoring big goals were Emme Cain, Kate Uffelman and Mattie Rumberg. There were other great offensive performances by Lucy Thomas, Maddie Beeman, Gianna Bordi, Christina Hageboeck, Taylor Daggs, Grace Chehlaoui, Addie McShane and so many others. It was a true team victory.

The defense of Hannah Burkes, Jasmine Frost, Eva McGrath, Emme Martin and many others was impenetrable. Northgate didn’t even score until the end of the game. Also Sarah Hession was a wall at goalie, getting several saves.

This team now has 7 wins and one close loss. These Dons are 4-0 in league games. They are so fun to watch. Come on out Tuesday at 530 to see them continue the streak against Bishop O’Dowd! Go Dons!
