Track and Field Returns with Dominant Performance (and welcomes some familiar faces!)

Track and Field returns! Facing off against Clayton Valley Charter in their first DAL Meet since 2020, the Dons posted impressive victories of 90-42 (girls) and 105 – 30 (Boys). With multiple NCS leading marks, record board performances, and incredible individual efforts, it was a complete victory from start to finish. At the time of this posting:

  • The Boys 4×100 (Ethan Torres, Paul Kuhner, Trevor Rogers, and Kyle Biewlawski) posts an NCS #1 time of 42.96, becoming only the third team in school history to break the 43 second barrier
  • Trevor Rogers jumps a very impressive 22′-3″, good enough for NCS #1 and 4th in school history, passing his older brother Chris Rogers who jumped 22′-1.5″ in 2019 – he also posts an NCS Top 10 mark in the Triple Jump
  • Paul Kuhner runs an NCS #5 11.16 in the 100 meter dash (good enough for the 5th fastest in school history) and an NCS #8 mark in the 200m – he also anchors the boys 4x400m in an incredible come from behind victory
  • Ethan Torres jumps 20’10,” good enough for #8 in NCS
  • On the girls side, Sophia Chinn and Dulci Vail join the team – you might remember them from their NCS Championship run in girls basketball – Sophia anchors the girls 4×100, joining Bella Starbuck and Haley Chelemedos as Carly Harriman leads them to an NCS #8 time of 51.47, their first time under 52 seconds this season!
  • Dulci Vail, participating in her first ever track meet, records an NCS #8 jump of 32’9″ in the triple jump
  • Though they cannot quite manage to hold off Clayton Valley, Portia Seymour, Megan Yee, Abigail Palmer, and Lauren Yee post an NCS #4 time of 4:20.78 in the girls 4×400 relay
