Despite Injuries and Illness, the Boys Varsity Tennis Team scores an Impressive 8-1 Victory over Las Lomas

The Boys’ varsity tennis team had to overcome the temporary loss of its #1, #3, and #4 players due to injuries and illness.  All remaining singles players had to compete in higher spots, and they absolutely exceeded expectations.  Seven matches were won in straight sets.  The standout highlight was the amazing match played by Tucker Brewer who was in the #2 spot.  Tucker lost the first set 2-6 and then staged an incredible comeback taking the second set 6-2 and then winning the third set tiebreaker in a 13-11 nailbiter.  In addition, Sammy Foster played in his first league match and quickly dispatched his opponent in the #6 spot 6-2, 6-1.

Next week, the heat will be turned up as we take on both powerhouses in the league in away matches.  Campolindo is March 22, and Miramonte is March 24.  We are hoping for the return of Tyler Toni, Luke Brightbill, and Zach Snyder as we are going to need their help.  Acalanes is now 2-1 in league play.
Our sidelines were filled with cheering family members again.  It is a fun atmosphere.  The support is always appreciated.  Go Dons!
