* Build customized strength & conditioning programs tailored to each sport’s unique requirements

* Create programs to minimize injuries plus increase strength, speed, and flexibility

* Increase workout resources available to student athletes for a better overall experience

* Put Acalanes on par with other Diablo Athletic League programs who’ve already adopted similar programs

Come as you are and head over to the Thrashers’ fantastic party house for a big old, Carolina-style shrimp boil! Don’t know about shrimp boils?? Well, it’s time you found out because they’re fun, casual, messy spreads of deliciously seasoned shrimp rounded out with fat smoked sausage, potatoes, corn, and more…and that’s just the main course! There’ll be all sorts of backyard games to play and watch, and silly side bets to make. Grab a cold one (or two) and join the crowd…this party is guaranteed to be easy-going fun!

Then YOU are ready to compete! This night will have you participating at the highest levels, while fueling up on plenty of adult beverages and your favorite taco truck. Just want to spectate? This party is for you, too! Games held at the Meade home (bike parking on site!). Bring your A game! Spandex not required but would be legendary.

CALLING ALL ACALANES SENIOR RECRUITED STUDENT ATHLETES

On Thursday, May 24, at lunchtime, Acalanes Boosters is proud to present a celebration of Acalanes’ talented, hard-working student-athletes who have been recruited to play their sports in college (Division I, II or III) while continuing their educations.

Local media, parents, friends, AHS students, and the community are ALL invited. There will be a group question and answer session, photo and interview opportunities, and other fun.

If your son or daughter has been recruited to play in college next year and he or she has committed to play, please contact Jennifer Larson for more information so we can include them in the celebration. Your student-athlete does not have to play a sport that Acalanes offers, but the sport must be an intercollegiate sport (not club sport) at the school your student-athlete will attend.


 

In Fridays action…
The boys lacrosse team is the DAL Champion as they jumped to a large early lead and coasted to a 12-2 victory over Miramonte HS.
The girls lacrosse team is the DAL runner-up as they were defeated by Miramonte HS in the DAL Championship game.
The softball team was defeated by Piedmont HS.
In Saturdays action…
The swimming & diving team competes in the DAL finals at Campolindo HS at 12:00.
The track & field team competes in the DAL trials at Campolindo HS at 2:30.
The frosh-soph baseball team hosts Las Lomas HS in a doubleheader at 11:00 and 1:30.
Note:  At the DAL track meet, there will be an admission charge.  $5 general admission and $3 for students, children and senior citizens.  No passes or ASB stickers will be honored.

The baseball team defeated Clayton Valley Charter HS 7-3.  The jv team turned on the offense with an 11-4 victory.
The softball team defeated Ygnacio Valley HS 11-0.
The boys volleyball team defeated Ygnacio Valley HS 25-4, 25-7, 25-11 to end the regular season as DAL Valley division champions at 10-0with an overall record of 23-8.
In Fridays action…
The boys lacrosse team hosts Miramonte HS in the DAL Championship game at 7:00.

The boys volleyball team defeated Liberty HS 25-14, 25-13, 25-23 to raise their overall record to 22-8.

May 2 – Wednesday Sports

In Tuesday’s action …
The Lady Dons Lacrosse team walked away with the W over Campo last night in the DAL semi final game, avenging a regular season loss. Final score 14-12.  Acalanes advances to the DAL championship game versus Miramonte this Friday.
The boys lacrosse team methodically eliminated Clayton Valley Charter HS 14-6 in the DAL semifinals and will host the championship game Friday at 7:00.
The baseball team finished the first round of DAL play defeating Alhambra HS 8-3.  The JV team pitched a 3-0 shutout.
The softball team was defeated by Las Lomas HS.
The boys volleyball team continue to roll through the DAL defeating Mt. Diablo HS 25-12, 25-6, 25-14 to remain undefeated in league at 9-0 and raising their overall record to 9-0.

In Friday’s action…

Trenten Tso placed 3rd in the boys tennis DAL championships.

The boys lacrosse team defeated Northgate HS 16-8 to finish the regular season undefeated in the DAL at 7-0 with an overall record of 14-5.  They will be the #1 seed in the DAL playoffs and will host the semifinals Tuesday at 7:00.

 

In Saturday’s action…

The baseball team was defeated by Foothill HS.  The JV team was also defeated.  The frosh-soph team was the bright spot defeating Benicia HS.

The Dons JV swim team ended their season Saturday at the all-league JV Championships.  Fast swims, best times, and an overall 4th place team finish for the DONS!
