Congrats to our Varsity guys who all wrestled tough this past weekend at San Ramon Valley High School Invitational Wrestling Tournament. Shout outs to our medal winners: Tony Correa placing 4th, Addison Early 3rd and Steven Williams placing 2nd. Another shout out to Lucas Haase – who won another Varsity match as a Freshman – continuing to set the bar for our young guys.

It takes a lot of guts to step out on the mat with little experience, but a big heart goes a long way!

Wrestling continues to power through

Wrestling continues to power through

Wrestling continues to power through regional tournaments. Varsity Boys Wrestling had several players advance with at least two placing at Northgate’s December 15, 2018 Bill Martel tournament.

Stay tuned for official results from this past weekend’s Liberty High School 2-Day Tournaments in Brentwood: Boy’s Lou Bronzan and Girl’s Brittany David Invitational. Next up, Varsity heads over to the huge Coast Classic in Aptos December 28-29, 2018.

Wrestling Team off to a powerful start!

Wrestling Team off to a powerful start!

The Acalanes Wrestling coaches are impressed with the team this year so far. We have had a lot of matches over the past 9 days. This is a trial-by-fire sport and they have been stepping up like they’ve been there before.

Special shoutouts to two of our team leaders who won Varsity medals last weekend at San Marin High School’s December 8th Green & Gold Tournament in Novato: James Trainer (SO) with a 6th place, Stephen Williams (JR) with a 4th.

As for our young kids, we have so many great kids I could list the roster. Also last weekend, Freshmen Matt Soto, Lukas Ross and Evan Malmquist had an outstanding day at the Foothill Falcon Tournament in Pleasanton.

Abaegale Dunsmore (SO) continues to roll through the Girls competition. (See her Atherton Girls Bash results!)

Great job to one of our captains — Youssef Qteishat (SR) — going 4-0 leading our young wrestlers at the JV tourney!
