As the sun sets on yet another summer, Acalanes Boosters would like to welcome all of our teachers and the student-athletes, back to campus for, what is sure to be, another BLUE-tiful year at Acalanes. As well, we are excited to welcome our new Freshmen parents and excited to see everyone back in the stands cheering on the Dons.
Thursday, August 10, there will be a Fall Parents Sports Meeting for: Cross Country, Football, Water Polo, Girls Golf, Girls Tennis, Girls Volleyball and Cheer. At Acalanes, we offer the opportunity to participate in one of 29 sport programs. We believe athletics play an essential role in the lives of our students. Our coaches are committed to teaching the core values of respect, compassion, scholarship and integrity on the field, pool, court, classroom and community. To manage the high demand of the athletics program, we have a leadership team that is integral in our day-to-day sports operations from our Principal, Eric Shawn to our Associate Principals Andrea Powers & Jeanne Johnson to our Athletic Directors, Haley Walsh and Randy Takahashi.
Acalanes Sports Boosters has over 30 parent-volunteers. The Acalanes Boosters Club is a non-profit, fundraising organization composed of Acalanes High School parents and school administrators who work closely with the school’s coaching staff to ensure the safety and well-being of Acalanes student-athletes by providing significant, supplemental funding to all twenty-nine sports programs. The Acalanes Boosters Club is overseen by a board that includes officers responsible for day-to-day leadership, committee chairs responsible for major fundraising and communications activities, team representatives ensuring every Acalanes sports program’s interests and needs are represented, and school administrators and staff responsible for athletics. Our goal is to inspire our athletes to be their best on and off the field/court/pool and we do that together!
