The Lady Dons scheduled for a double header on Saturday. Game #1 was a decisive victory over Santa Cruz 11-3. Led by high scorers Ella Del Rosario, Brooklyn Plomp and Sara Archer, the Dons led from the opening sprint and never looked back.
The anticipated game of the week was up next against the Soquel Knights. The Dons looked energized and burst out to a 5-1 First Quarter lead. The 2nd quarter was a defensive battle, with Dons winning the quarter, 2-1 and Sr. Goalie, Audrey Cox blocking 5 shots.. At the half, Acalanes led 7-3. The Knights roared back in the 3rd quarter, cutting into the lead. After 3 quarters, the Lady Dons led 9-7. With the momentum shifting, the Soqeul Knights capitalized on Dons forced errors and went on a 5-0 run in the 4th Quarter, to win the game 11-9. A bitter sweet and character building loss.
