The Dons came to Concord, CA  ready to battle the Spartans of De La Salle.  Stunning serves by Joe T. and Big Ben W. helped to put the Dons in the lead while perfectly placed  passes by Jack and Ben Jo paved the way  for Trey’s sweet sets to Brendan for a kill and to Isaac & Rohan for some strategic outside hits.   Intensity increased as the Dons pulled out ahead (20-19) , then again (22-21) , and AGAIN (23-22) until securing victory  (25-23).

The Dons struggled a bit in Games 2 & 3 but as always, the crowd saw some stellar plays from the team.  Zach had a heads-up return, Robby was unstoppable with some bombing back row hits and Nick’s smart poke  secured an important point.  Sean Lin stepped up with some surefire sets while Monty mixed it up at the net and served up an ace to keep the Dons in the fight during Game 2.  Rallies were long and points hard won in Game 3 as Noah threw his body on the court for some crucial saves and Ben W. stuffed a Spartan hit with an impressive block. One can feel the love of this team as they continue to build each other up even if the score is down.  GO DONS!
