Dons Soccer traveled across town to play against Miramonte Saturday afternoon and had a tough time finding their game throughout the match. It was difficult to tell if the early game time or knowing that they were playing a team with a losing record threw them off a bit, but the Dons seemed to lack energy and focus. Fortunately, the team pulled together on defense, shutting out the Mats’ offense. The Dons finally scored when senior Lauren Yee took a nice, high corner kick that was deflected to junior Cam Salazar who found the back of the net on the game-winning goal.
Dons JV were back to their winning ways against the JV Matadors with a 2-0 decision. Goals were scored by freshman standouts Livi Foster and Reiney Fish.
The Dons look to finish out their regular season strong this week with games at Ygnacio Valley at 7pm Varsity and 5pm JV and Senior Night at home on Thursday at 7pm for Varsity vs Berean Christian. Let’s go Dons!
