The weather was hot and the track was hotter at Day 2 of the DAL Championships as our Acalanes Tracksters showed up ready to win. Boys varsity finished 2nd and girls varsity finished 4th overall in the league. Congratulations to all participants for making it to the top of the league and to those athletes moving on to the NCS Tri-Valley Meet. The top 6 automatically qualify for the Tri-Valley Meet, and others made it on time and mark.
Our relays put up a strong showing, with the boys 4×100 (Matthew Schwarz, Illias Kaplanes-Jones, Jackson Boselli, River Lockwood) cruising in to first place in 42.52 and the girls 4×100 (Julia Munter, Cameron Thornton, Olivia Kemp, Isabelle Agnost) coming in a strong second at 49.22. The boys 4×400 (Julian Hood, Matthew Schwarz, Benjamin Mickelson, River Lockwood) had an amazing come from behind win to take first at 3:23.19 and the girls 4×400 (Cameron Thornton, Olivia Kemp, Nevis Murphy, Isabelle Agnost) ran their best time of the year in 4:08.04 to take second place.
