JV WOMEN’S WEEKDAY AND SATURDAY LACROSSE SQUADS STAY UNDEFEATED—DOMINANCE CONTINUES!

The Acalanes Dons JV Girls Lacrosse teams aren’t just winning—they are steamrolling the competition.

The Weekday Squad is a perfect 15–0. The Saturday Squad? 10–0–1. Combined: unstoppable.

Wins keep piling up against rivals—Campo (twice), Miramonte, Las Lomas, Piedmont, College Park, Clayton Valley, Menlo-Atherton, and Bishop O’Dowd—and the message is clear: this team doesn’t just show up…they take over.

What separates this group isn’t just talent—it’s relentless effort, depth, and heart. Every game features a new set of players rising to the moment. No drop-off. No excuses. Just production.

And when things don’t start perfectly? It doesn’t matter.

Last Friday against Campolindo, the Dons turned the ball over on their first seven possessions. Seven. Most teams would collapse. Not this one.

Down just 1–0 thanks to a lockdown defense, Coach Steve called timeout, reset the tone, and the switch flipped instantly. He reminded the team to relax, have fun, and trust their abilities. The response was immediate.

A key offensive sequence involving Allie Schofield, Talia Tichnor, and Stella Degroot sparked the turnaround, tying the game at 1–1. From there, it was over, the Dons surged ahead, eventually taking control at 7–2 and never looking back.

The Dons exploded on a 7–1 run, seizing complete control and finishing with a commanding 9–4 victory. You could see it in their eyes—the confidence, the edge, the certainty. This team knew exactly what was coming.

The midfield unit—Chloe Vignoles, Lucy Hamilton, Eloise Greeson, Allie Schofield, and Dora Henley—owned the field. Draw controls, transition, pace…everything flowed through them. Campo had no answers.

Defensively, it was a clinic.

Bea Deignan and Avila Payne locked things down. Riley Zirkle and Caroline Tumulty turned the field into a takeaway showcase—9 interceptions, including 6 from Riley alone.

And behind it all, goalie Persephone Quine commanded the defense and shut the door when it mattered.

On the offensive end, Stella Degroot led the charge with four goals, while Lexi Chaput dished out three assists. Talia Tichnor added a goal and an assist, and contributions came from everywhere—Savana Martinez, Yali Avrahami, Estee Romick, Gena Tenorio, and Eloise Kubas.

And that’s the story of this team—everyone contributes.

Across both squads, impact players continue to step up: Emilia Deutsch Stella, Willow Ward, Brook Lewis, Livvy Lewis, Penny Haslam, Delphine Fisher, Claire Hawkins, Quinn Curley, Hadley Hastings, Sydney Piacente, Oona Sale, Cameron Koch, Farren Staino, Kennedy Wilson, Phoebe Ambrosini, Rory O’Farrell, Mari Betramo, Serafina Cook, Zoya Sainath, Abby Haimovici, Willa Wolcott, and Katie Sanguinet.

This isn’t just a team—it’s a machine. A fast, physical, disciplined, and relentless machine that plays for each other every single minute.

Now it comes down to this:

Two games left. A perfect season within reach.

An accomplishment that almost never happens.

Be there Tuesday and Friday. See it for yourself. Watch history get made.

GOOOOOOO DONS!!!
