JV Girls’ LAX – Dons Roast Falcons 16-5

The Acalanes Dons JV Girls Lacrosse team turned up the tempo—and the thermostat—in a commanding 16–5 win over College Park at home on Tuesday.

With record-setting heat bearing down (cue “The Heat Is On”), the Dons didn’t just endure the conditions—they thrived in them. From the opening whistle, Acalanes brought relentless energy, playing fast, moving the ball crisply, and pushing pace in transition like they had a full playlist of hype songs on repeat.

The first half was competitive, with College Park applying aggressive pressure and keeping things tight. But the Dons’ defense was, quite literally, tenacious—channeling a little Tenacious D with gritty checks and constant communication. They forced turnovers, scooped up ground balls, and shut down key scoring opportunities.

Offensively, Acalanes found its rhythm through sharp passing and unselfish play. The ball movement was clean and quick, creating open looks and keeping the College Park defense scrambling. By the third quarter, the Dons hit their stride and pulled away decisively, turning a close game into a runaway.

The physicality picked up at times, resulting in a yellow card and a brief injury scare, but true to form, the Dons rallied around their teammate. She was back on her feet with plenty of support from the sideline—no lasting harm, just a reminder of the toughness and camaraderie of this group.

By the final whistle, Acalanes had locked in a 16–5 victory built on endurance, teamwork, and a whole lot of hustle under pressure. In the heat of the moment, the Dons didn’t just play—they performed.
