In Frdiays action…

The football team overwhelmed Armijo HS 75-6 in the season opener.  The jv team was similarly impressive.

Brady Huchingson threw 3 touchdown passes and rushed for 2 touchdowns and completed 6 of 9 passes for 133 yards.

Michael O'Donnell threw 2 touchdown passes and rushed for 1 touchdown.

Lucas Eppinger had 3 receiving touchdowns and had 5 receptions for 164 yards.

Dane Jenssen had 1 rushing touchdown and had 86 yards on 9 carries.

Jack Muren and Jake Gilbert each had 1 receiving touchdown.

Nic Rossi had 1 rushing touchdown.

Graham Oh returned a punt 35 yards for a touchdown.

Jeremy Pearson had 7 solo tackles and 5 assisted tackles.

Nico Cortessis had five solo tackles and 3 assisted tackles and 3 sacks.

Tommy Thrasher had 3 solo tackles and 5 assisted tackles and 1 interception.

In Mondays action…

The girls volleyball team hosts San Ramon Valley HS in a scrimmage.  Freshmen at 4:00, jv at 5:00 and varsity at 6:30.

Special event…

Monday, Julian Jenkins of Next College Student Athlete will deliver a presentation at 7:00 pm in the PAC.  NCSA is a partner of the CIF and offers services for athletes with potential to play in college.  This organization identifies colleges of good fit, contacts the college coaches and assists in the application process.  For more information, contact Randy Takahashi at rtakahashi@auhsdschools.org.
