Acalanes Softball Celebrates Its Seniors and is Heading into NCS

Last Tuesday, the Acalanes Dons Softball celebrated Senior Night honoring team leaders Maya Shoenhair and Lauren Foster. Surrounded by teammates, coaches, family, and fans, the two seniors were recognized for their dedication, leadership, and contributions to the program.

Despite a challenging league season impacted by injuries and illness, the Dons continued to battle and found plenty of bright spots along the way. Freshman Avery โ€œPebblesโ€ Stoneman recorded her first varsity strikeout, igniting an enormous roar from the crowd, while junior Santana Tamayo launched a solo home run to energize the team. Other standout moments included Avery Dement heating up at the plate and several outstanding defensive plays in the outfield that kept the Dons competing hard every inning.

Now, Acalanes turns its attention to the postseason with excitement and momentum heading into NCS play. The Dons earned the No. 2 seed in their division along with a first-round bye and will begin their playoff run on Friday, May 22 at 5:00 p.m.

Good luck, Dons! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™
