Varsity Boys Lacrosse Dominate College Park 12-7 on Senior Night

Friday night had everything you could ask for—perfect weather, home turf, a fired-up crowd, and a celebration of nine seniors—and the Dons made sure it turned into a night to remember against College Park.

They wasted no time setting the tone. Just 90 seconds in, Grady Evans struck first with the opening goal, and he wasn’t done—moments later he came up with a slick steal and dished a perfect assist to Caleb Mason right in front of the cage. Jackson Tseng followed with a shot to the back of the net to make it 3–0, and Grant Condy added another as the Dons looked in full control early. But the game took a turn and late in the quarter, the Falcons found a spark and slipped in two goals, cutting the lead to 4–2.

The second quarter belonged entirely to the Dons. Jan Korzeniowski got things rolling with a great goal from the side. Condy threaded a beautiful pass to Curtis Sanders for a smooth finish, and Luke Dafferner added one of his own. Meanwhile, the defense led by an unrelenting Ryan Yun locked in and completely shut the door—no goals allowed. By halftime, the Dons had stretched their lead to a confident 7–2.

The third quarter brought more back-and-forth energy. The Falcons struck first, but Korzeniowski answered right away to keep momentum on the Dons’ side. College Park tried again, and again the Dons responded—this time with back-to-back goals from Condy and Dafferner just 20 seconds apart, blowing the game open. In between, gritty midfield play from Andrew Iams and Cade Korpita kept possessions alive and the defense showed constant pressure from Grady Branagh, Cooper Banwart and David Gallacher.

In the fourth quarter, Luke Dafferner put on a show—cutting through four defenders, juking past each one, and finishing with a point-blank strike that brought the sideline to life. The Falcons refused to fold, adding two more late goals, but the outcome was never really in doubt. Fittingly, Condy sealed the night with the final goal, putting an exclamation point on the performance.

When the final whistle blew, the Dons walked away with a 12–7 win—capping off Senior Night with a strong, complete team effort and plenty of moments worth remembering.
