Final Frosh & Furious vs Campo Match

Last Saturday morning was the final girls frosh soccer game against Campolindo and the ladies did not disappoint. To be honest, nothing would be more fitting than to throw up a touchdown on the cross-town rivals, Campolindo, to end the year. And a touchdown is exactly what they did, beating the Cougars 7-0 at their place. And these goals were not just solo breakaways and shots. They were well orchestrated passes, give and go passes, and through balls that led to the stomping.

Allie Schofield started it all off with a brilliant cross to Avery Titus, who found the back of the net on a one-timer. Then it was Courtney Hamill with a perfect bender from deep to net the second score. Svea Staino was next battling to score and put the Furious up 3-0. Then Ruby Coy off a throw in. And here comes Allie again with a perfect pass to Svea for her second. And the speedy Avery Titus got her second as well to put the Dons up 6-0 at the half.

The second half started by seeing Eva Mcginley take a ball down the line, grab a quick peek, and bury a low shot past the keeper. At this point the scoreboard read Dons 7 – Campo 0. The game then slowed down and the focus was on possession.

It was fitting tribute by the ladies to the boy’s football team. Yes boys, The Frosh and the Furious can put up 7 at Campo too.

Go Dons!
