JV Girls Soccer Shuts Out Matadors 3-0

The Girls JV soccer team took on the Miramonte Matadors on Thursday evening and emerged with a 3-0 victory.

Special shoutout to the team’s backline as they played organized, strong and little to no mistakes.

Goalkeeper Maria Statkinova had a few saves, including a key save in the first half (top corner save) right after the Dons scored the first goal which kept the team in the lead.

The midfield broke lines all game long in order to create chances.

The forwards took advantage of the space, making runs in from behind, finding crosses, and shooting! Julia Munter had some nice crosses. Grace Eppinger scored two goals. There was another great goal from Caroline Tumilty who scored an absolutely beauty of a goal off a free kick from about 30 yards out.

It was a great result and the team is in great spirits!
