After controlling the possession for the first 15 minutes, Maria Carrillo High School opened the scoring with a great cross. Acalanes senior Alex Salazar soon answered with a rocket shot from the center of the box after 2 perfectly set up passes from seniors Nicole Nguyen and Taylor Mikalis.  The first half ended in a 1-1 tie. 

Once again, 15 minutes into the half a goal was scored. This time, the Dons got the score as Junior Danica Green rocketed a left footed laser from the side of the penalty box. Taylor Mikalis delivered a perfect long pass from midfield to set up the opportunity. 

Senior goalie Melisa Adatepe led a stingy defense and made numerous saves all night long. Final score 2-1. 

Thanks to JV!  Finding themselves shorthanded and down 13 players because of injuries and illnesses, the Varsity called up 3 JV players, Grace Eppinger, Julia Munter, and EllaCulbertson.  All 3 contributed a lot and played tough throughout the game.
