JV Boys played well in a narrow 2-3 loss to Clayton Valley last Tuesday. Harry Zimmerman played shut down defense on the outside, stealing the ball from numerous opponents and then passing the ball forward to teammates. Kyler Roberts made great passes forward putting pressure on Clayton’s defense. Santi Vignoles also put consistent pressure on the defense, threading passes forward to teammates. Grisha Statnikov’s energy in the second half and winning contested balls played a key factor in building momentum for the Dons. Elliot Van Ornum put the Dons on the board in the second half with a spectacular shot from near the corner flag after hustling to win the ball. Luke Wilson, after drawing a foul in the box, delivered a hard hit, well placed PK to beat the Clayton goalie. The on Thursday, JV won at Concord High School 1-0. Eli Foster scored late in 1st half with a perfect redirect off a beautiful corner served up by Jeremy Lara. Today boys play Deer Valley at HOME  at 1pm!
