VARSITY BOYS SOCCER 2-0 IN LEAGUE AFTER NIKO WHITE NETS 4 GOALS!

The Dons Varsity boys soccer team took on the Berean Christian Eagles at home Thursday night. The Dons took the lead first for the fifth straight game only 7 minutes into the contest when Lucas Dissman and Ben Pecci again combined on a well-executed corner kick.  The Dons put relentless pressure on the Eagles defense throughout the game with a fine display of crisp passing supported by a sturdy backline of defense.  However, the story of the match was the Dons’ Niko White making his debut fresh off his role with the Dons’ state championship football team. Niko entered the game halfway through the first half and quickly knocked in a goal to put the Dons up 2-0.  The Dons continued to feed the ball deep into the Berean Christian penalty area and Niko took it from there.  Niko snaked through, around, in between, and all over the Eagles defense to score not one, not two, not three, but FOUR goals in only 40 minutes of action!  Needless to say, Niko was named Man of the Match for his auspicious debut!

Acalanes travels to De La Salle Saturday morning to participate in the DLS Soccer Showcase and will line up against Sequoia High School from Redwood City in the 10am contest.  The Dons will then be on break for finals before suiting up again for a big league matchup with Las Lomas in Walnut Creek at 715pm on 12/22.
