Wow, what a thrilling end to the league season for the Lady Dons Varsity Volleyball team. On an emotional night to celebrate the high school volleyball careers of #1 Jade Profilio and #4 Mika Bocobo, the team came out a bit sluggish but ended it in a flurry that had everyone in the stands gasping for breath.

In set 1, #13 Addi Ames, had a beautiful kill to get the team rolling. #7 MaeLin Mason had a crushing ace for another point. Senior Mika Bocobo had a kill from the OH position that had everyone cheering. #10 Annie Baker had a cool kill from the middle position from an awesome quick set from #16 Emme Seelenbacher. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough as the Dons lost the first set 21-25.

In set #2, Mika had another kill to keep the defense at bay. #8 Rena Liu had one of her trademark aces to gain a point. #15 Kylah Fox showed her leaping abilities with an awesome kill. #12 Addy Treter crushed a kill from the middle position. #9 Piper Coy smoked a kill that left the Mats defense in awe. Again the Dons were unable to close the set and lost 22-25. It was time for a comeback.

In set 3, Mika started the score with an ace. Piper had a roof block that crushed the spirit of the visiting Mats. #1 Jade Profilio had an amazing dig to save a point. Maelin smoked a kill after a great set by Emme. Annie finished off the set with a kill to give the Dons the set win 25-20.

In set 4, Piper killed one off the block of the Mats defense. #17 Sophia Terry made her presence known with a crushing kill. Annie had a block to gain another point. Emme did a sneak attack with a kill from the setting position. Annie finished off set #4 as well with a kill that gave the Dons the set, 25-17, setting up a deciding set 5.

In Set 5, both Addi and Annie started off the set with kills. Sophia had multiple kills to really get the crowd pumping. Piper again had multiple kills as well that came from pinpoint setting from Emme. The comeback was official with a 15-13 thrilling win to cap off an amazing night.
