On a special THINK PINK night at Chris Huber Memorial Gym, Acalanes Girls Vball took care of business with a well-played game against the visiting Las Lomas Knights. In set 1, #13 Addi Ames started off well with a kill off their blockers. #7 MaeLin Mason smoked a thunderous kill from the back row to take the defense by surprise. #10 Annie Baker was given a quick set by #16 Emme Seelenbacher and crushed a kill.

#17 Sophia Terry had a beautiful kill and roof block to gain a couple more points. #9 Piper Coy had an absolutely beautiful kill down the line to end the first set 25-16 after a perfectly placed set by #11 Christina Hageboeck.

In set #2, number 1, Jade Profilio had an amazing pancake dig/save that brought a huge cheer from the home crowd. #4 Mika Bocobo continued the momentum with some strong, well-placed serves. Jade also had an ace that just clipped the top of the net and rolled over. Emme had a gorgeous back set to Addi who slammed another one to gain a point. The home team took set number two, 25-17

In set three, #2 Nisa Khoury came out swinging with an impressive kill that had the defense on their heels. Annie continued her strong game with a kill and an ace to keep the Knights from coming back. Emme had a perfectly placed serving ace to gain another point.

MaeLin also had a great all-around game that was finished off with another kill. Sophia had multiple kills from the middle position that kept the Knights at bay. The home team finished it off, 25-17 to move to 5-4 in league. With just 3 league games left, the Lady Dons hope to finish the season off strong.
