Varsity Girls Water Polo Optimistic for another Successful Season

Varsity Retreat 2023

The Girls Varsity Water Polo team ended last season with a 23-8 record and #3 ranking in CIF. Although 7 seniors graduated, the 2023 team has reason for optimism as it brings a strong core of returning players and talented new players under the leadership of head coach Misha Bushel and assistants Patrick & Casey Reid, Chris & Barbara Lanier, and Donna Elliott.

Proving their potential, the team started their season off strong last week by dominating scrimmages against both San Ramon Valley and Carondelet. On Wednesday, the Lady Dons welcomed the SRV Wolves to their home turf. The Lady Dons started strong when sophomore Ella Del Rosario took the ball down for a goal in the first three minutes of the game. The Lady Dons kept their momentum going all four quarters and freshman goalie Adelyn Horciza was truly remarkable in her debut game.
