Boys Water Polo Bringing Heart and Fight into the 2023 Season

The Dons Varsity and JV boys water polo teams are bringing heart and fight into the 2023 season.  The team is honored to be led by Head Coach Nick Jordan, along with Jake Norton, and welcomes new JV coach Alon Yoeli.  

The Varsity team experienced a narrow loss in its first scrimmage of the season against Clayton Valley, with a final score of 10-8.  Scoreboard contributors included Thomas Parrott, Matt Whipple, Wil Paulson, Alex Butler and Rocco Fraoli.

The JV team dominated with a 12-2 finish in its scrimmage against Clayton Valley.  New to the team, Mason Schlehr was the top scorer, bringing in four goals.  Returning players Owen Hulst and Ethan Zolboo each scored two goals, with new players Sebastian Strittmatter, Matt Lee and Will Miller also contributing to the scoreboard.  Freshman goalie Fischer Bradford-Urban showed his strength with some great blocks that held the Dons with a solid lead.  This match up revealed a team with real potential, ready to work hard, work together, and attack the season ahead.

The coaches started the season off right, welcoming alumni to participate in the annual alumni game where the players attempted to defeat their former teammates, coaches and/or others in the community who once played for the Dons.

To wind down the first week of school, the team kicked off the first annual Friday night family inner tube water polo game.  Parents and players came together for a fun night of competition in the pool.
