A handball at the 23 minute mark in the first half, a booming free kick by Tatum Zuber bouncing off the fingertips of a Las Lomas goalie, and a charging Jacque Peacock sweeping in to kiss the ball into the net spelled impending doom for the Knights of Las Lomas. 

A relentless battle ensued in the second half with Alex Salazar playing tango with the Knights and Catherine Judson fending off multiple shots on goals. With yellow cards flying and penalties galore, Acalanes held out with an entire team’s defensive effort to pitch the 1-0 shut out and keep the Dons in the hunt for the League title.  

The Dons look to avenge their only loss of the season in a rematch against the Clayton Valley Charter Ugly Eagles in their final league game Tuesday, Feb 7th at 7pm at home. Come out and show your support for the Dons!
