Acalanes Girls Varsity Soccer pulled off a fantastic win Tuesday night, beating the Las Lomas Knights 1-0. It was a great battle with both teams going the length numerous times only to be denied by tenacious defense. 

Senior Jacque Peacock notched the game’s lone goal midway through the first half by creating her own breakaway. She intercepted a Las Lomas fullback’s pass and rocketed 50 yards downfield before beating the Los Lomas goalie in the right corner. The Acalanes defense of [senior] goalie Catherine Judson, senior Chloe Quintella, senior Taylor Carlin, sophomore Demi Woods, freshman Victoria Hiatt, and freshman Tatum Keely weathered numerous attacks and Las Lomas free kicks in the Dons’ defensive third, but shut down the opposition and posted another shutout. 

The win improves the Dons league record to 2-0-3 and 5-0-3 overall. The Dons take on Clayton Valley on the road Thursday night at 7pm. Go Dons!
