Acalanes started off strong with a goal by forward Livi Foster. Sisi Houston followed with a beautiful corner kick picked up by Foster to score the second goal. Highlights also included great crosses by Dani Green & Addie McShane, shots on goal by both Katelyn Weiss & Sisi Houston, and solid defense from Edie Berzansky, Maya Shinaman, & Katelyn Weiss. Speaking of defense, thanks to about 5 saves from our reliable keeper Sophie Gold, the Bulldogs did not light up the scoreboard in the first half. A clean breakaway by Reiney Fish with a perfect pass to Elodie Jensen made the Dons’ 3rd goal to close the first half 3 – 0.

The Bulldogs came out fighting in the second half, but the Dons responded with a full team effort. Elodie Jensen made a quick breakaway, setting up Sisi Houston for goal #4. More Dons’ highlights included aggressive & agile ball handling by Lidia Stahl & Lillian Polkinhorn, another breakaway by Reiney Fish, shots on goal by Lillian Polkinhorn & Mollie Schofield, with Dani Green handily scoring our 5th goal. Thanks to an excellent pass from Addie McShane, Livi Foster scored the 6th goal for a hat trick, with the Dons winning the night, 6 – 0. Keeper Sara Tarnai secured the Acalanes shut out by allowing no goals in the second half.
