Lady Dons Basketball Roll in 1st Game 78 to 21

The season started Saturday for the girls at home.  Analy came into the game with a 4-0 record with all decisive victories.  It didn’t take long for the Lady Dons to assert themselves behind a relentless full court press.  It was apparent from the start the Dons overall team speed was overwhelming.  After the 1st quarter it was 26-2 Dons.  Little changed in the 2nd quarter, as Coach Margaret Gartner took the foot off the gas with the press. The Dons entered halftime with a 42-6 lead.  The girls coasted in the 2nd half for a comfortable 78 to 21 victory.

Dulci Vail was the scoring leader with 18 points, while also adding 12 rebounds.  KK Lacanlale scored 15 with an incredible 9 steals on the day.  Sophie Chinn added 12 points, while Natalie Frechman tallied 9 points to round out the top 4 scorers.

The girls are back in action Thursday at the Marin Catholic Invitational which boasts a very tough field with multiple highly ranked teams.
