Girls Water Polo Ended Season Strong

The CIF #3 ranked Lady Dons season ended Thursday night in a bitter sweet 10-4 loss to the #2 ranked Soquel Knights of Santa Cruz.

Soquel jumped out to an early lead, but the Dons continued to show fight, staying within striking distance and kept it close throughout 3 quarters.  As the number of possessions and the clock wound down in the 4th, the Dons had no choice but to pull the goalie for 7 on 6 offensive opportunities, which eventually which led to multiple empty net goals for the Knights to seal the victory.

It was a fine season for the 23-8 womens water polo team.  Exceeding expectations, the team, led by the outstanding coaching staff of Misha Bushel, Pat Reid and Chris Lanier, enjoyed a remarkable season.  With a mix of Senior experience & the emergence of several highly skilled and very talented underclassmen, the Dons were one of the most exciting teams to watch this year.

Accomplishments include..

Diablo Athletic Leaugue (DAL) 2nd place finish (tied)
