102 degrees, walking the hills and valleys of Orinda Country Club for three hours carrying 30 pounds of golf clubs doesn’t necessarily sound like a ton of fun, but the Lady Dons were up to challenge and almost overcame defending champions Miramonte, narrowly losing 246-251. The Dons were delighted to have Emmi Cronin (see above) join for her first match of the season, she and Haley Chelemedos posted the Dons low score of the match, and all of the Dons played well from start-to-finish. Looking forward to Monday’s rematch!
