In the 2022 Dons home opener, the women’s varsity team did not disappoint the home crowd, crushing the Mt. Tamalpais Red Tails 21-3.

From the opening sprint, the Lady Dons controlled the game on both sides of the ball.  The first goal of the campaign and first goal of her Acalanes career was scored by transfer student and Canadian National Team player, Jr. Brooklyn Plomb.  Brooklyn lit up the stat sheet w/ 3 goals, 3 assists, and 4 steals.  In her Freshman debut, Freshman Phenom, Ella Del Rosario scored her first official goal as an Acalanes Don and proceeded to pile on 3 more, totaling 4 goals on 4 shots taken.  Hat tricks were flying all over the pool as Senior Alexa Carter went off in the 3rd Qtr w/ a hat trick of her own (3 goals, 2 steals).

In a balanced scoring attack, several Dons stepped up with big plays.  Sr. Sara Archer (1 goal, 3 assists, 3 steals), Freshman Phenom Addison Dankworth (1 goal, 3 assists), Senior Maizie O’Hare (2 goals), and Sophomore Sensation, Lavand Koopah (2 goals on high energy & tenacious D).

Congratulations to the following Dons for scoring their first-ever Varsity goals, Melina Nath and Live Hoppe. Final score: 21-3.
