The Dons hosted Terra Linda High School Saturday evening for the NCS quarterfinal match and racked up another win. Senior Natalie Means had another high scoring game and the Dons’ defense, anchored by juniors Jacque Peacock and Chloe Quintella, earned another shutout. After countless close misses by the Dons’ offense, Means scored her first of the night with an excellent dribble through the middle of the field and strong finish, assisted by fellow senior Lauren Yee. With two minutes left in the first half, Means scored her second goal of the night, this time assisted by freshman Nicole Nguyen. The Dons went into halftime with a 2-0 lead over the Trojans. Means earned a hat trick by scoring her third goal with 12 minutes left in the match, dribbling virtually the entire length of the field before firing off a hard shot into the back of the net.
The Dons will be hosting Archie Williams High School for the NCS semifinal game on Wednesday at 5pm. Go Dons!
