The Broncos tried to buck our JV Women off their game on Thurs. night at Northgate.
It was the second league game of the year and the Dons got off to a shaky start down 0-3. Middle blocker, Tea Smith served the Dons back to 3-3 with the help of fellow middle blocker, Sammie Thompson who gave a great performance in both sets. The highlight of the first set was a 5 point serving run by designated hitter/server Mika Bokobo that changed the momentum for the rest of the game.
Mika’s fourth serving point was a battle won by the Dons with a beautiful block by Sammie Thompson. The Dons prevailed in the first set 25-23 ending it with a KILL by outside hitter Sofie Foster. The fun started early in the second set when setter, Campbell Evans served 3 points to the tune of the Varsity players cheering “she’s a fresh-man”. The Dons win the second set 25-14.
Can’t wait to see what these ladies do next! FEAR THE BLUE!
