JV Basketball: Taking it to the Hoop for Some Wins

After a slow start to the season with losses to Northgate and Campolindo the JV Dons Basketball team came to life with back to back convincing wins vs Miramonte last Thursday (49-21) and Saturday at home against Alhambra Bulldogs (63-24).  
The last two games demonstrated how deep the team really is with all 14 players making contributions.  Six players shot and scored 3 point buckets (Zubin Acuna, Eli Brent, Ethan Torres, Coco Gannon (2 in the 1st quarter Saturday), Jack Bayless, Justin Zegarowski. Multiple blocks and offense and defensive rebounds were had by centers Koleton Fenton and Bennett Dodge .
Thirteen out of 14  Dons players scored in the game against Miramonte and 12 out of 13 scored against the Bulldogs. Bennett Dodge was the leading scorer against Miramonte and Justin Zegarowski led the Don’s in scoring against Alhambra.  
There were a total of three 3 point plays on Saturday by Justin Zegarowski, Coco Gannon, and Nathan Bennett.
