It was a disappointing night for the Dons girls volleyball program, as they were beaten by Campolindo in three sets, 25-16, 25-13, 25-18. The Dons could never get their rhythm against a very talented opponent, and showed some first-match jitters that lead to mistakes. The first set was close until the Cougars used a 12-3 scoring run to put it out of reach. In set two, Campo jumped out to a 9-4 lead with some strong outside hitting, and never looked back. In set three, both teams used new rotations and Campo again prevailed.

The Dons are figuring out their identity early on, and the rust from the long COVID layoff is going to take time to knock off. Tonight they are back at it at home versus the Miramonte Matadors, with an early tip-off, 5pm. Tune in to YouTube channel ‘Alan Go-Acalanes’ for live stream.
