Varsity Girls Soccer Wins 3rd Straight

The Girls Varsity Soccer team traveled to Walnut Creek to face off against league opponent, Berean Christian on a beautiful afternoon on Wednesday. Even though Berean Christian hadn’t won a league game yet this season, they have proven to be a solid team and anyone can beat anyone on any given day in this league.

The Dons came out sharp from the onset of the first half. They kept pounding shots but to no avail. With roughly 10 minutes remaining in the first half, Ivy Souza led Addie Bailey with a through ball up the middle and Addie was able to convert to get the Dons on the scoreboard at 1-0.

Approximately 3 minutes later, some excellent passing from the midfield while in transition enabled Dylan Hagglund to fly up the left side of the field where she crossed the ball perfectly to Ellie Meyer. Dons lead 2-0 at the half.

The Dons came out on the attack in the second half. Again, Dylan Hagglund was free on the left side and she made a beautiful cross to Beth Daughters where she one-touched the ball into the back of the net. Perfect execution! Dons lead 3-0.

An odd call in the penalty box on one of our defenders gave BC a penalty kick, and they converted to bring the score 3-1. This was the final score.

The Dons will match up against Northgate at home on Friday night at 7pm in what is going to be a showdown. Come support your Dons!
