Varsity boys come up short against Northgate, face Campo tomorrow night

The varsity boys took a 16-15 lead at the end of the first quarter against Northgate, but they hit roadblocks and were outscored by wide margins in the second and third quarters. The Dons had a great 25-point fourth quarter, and their strong defense limiting the Broncos to 10 points that quarter. But the late rally wasn’t enough, and the Dons lost 53-66.

On the night, the Dons racked up 10 steals. Scott Ruegg scored 22 points. Three-point shooters included Scott (3), Graham Smith (1), and Derek Kotarba (1). Joey Carrillo scored 9 points, and Aidan Bodner scored 8 points.

The Dons look forward to the support of Dons Nation as they play at Campo Friday night at 7:00 after the 4:00 freshman game and 5:30 JV game.
