YOUR Acalanes Dons Girls Volleyball Team spent most of Saturday battling against other regional teams at the annual SRV Invitational.

 

After a slow start with tough losses against Carondelet and Northgate, the Dons bounced back and reeled off three straight wins against Heritage, Mission San Jose and Dublin, to finish the day at 3-2, winning the Silver bracket.

 

Every player on the team played and contributed as the Dons were able to effectively work from several different lineups which was great to see.

 

The Dons were led by strong all-around performances from Elsa Clever, Lane Webster, Madi Risch and Annika Olson.

 

Cailey McVay and Rachel Go fired consistent serves all day, while Hayes Hollar and Olivia Elliott were strong up front.

 

The Dons return to league play at Northgate on Tuesday looking to keep their momentum.
