Varsity Girls Soccer Shuts out Ygnacio Valley 4-0

The Varsity Girls Soccer team got back to their winning ways on Wednesday night against their league opponent, Ygnacio Valley.

The first goal of the night came around the 10-minute mark when Senior midfielder Beth Daughters led Freshman forward Tatum Zuber with a beautiful through ball and Tatum was able to get around the goalie to put the Dons ahead early at 1-0.

About 5 minutes later, some great passing in the midfield enabled Beth Daughters to find Tatum Zuber again on the left side and Tatum placed the ball perfectly past the goalie to make the score 2-0.

Junior forward Emily Keeler received a beautiful cross-field ball from Freshman forward Addie Bailey and Emily crossed it in front of the goal where Tatum Zuber was positioned perfectly to pound it into the net with one touch to make the score 3-0 with about 10 minutes left in the first half. A hat trick for T-Zubs!

The final goal of the night came from Freshman Addie Bailey off a very unselfish pass from Tatum Zuber to put the Dons up 4-0.

Excellent play all around! Seniors Dylan Hagglund and Gabby Ortale were especially superb.

The Dons will face Alhambra at home on Friday night at 7pm, which is shaping up to be a real battle. Come support your team!

Go DONS!
