JV Boys Basketball fall to Clayton Valley on Friday night

In a game that turned ugly early for the visiting Dons, the Clayton Valley Ugly Eagles defeated the Acalanes JV Boys basketball team by a final score of 80 to 57 on Friday night in Concord. The Dons fell behind from the opening tip and were down double digits before scoring their first points of the game. Trailing 21-7 after the first quarter, the Dons would see that lead only increase over the final three quarters of the game. However, on a positive note, the Dons increased their own scoring in each successive quarter of the game, tallying 20 points in the fourth quarter when the team’s reserve unit brought a much needed boost of energy that was largely absent in the first three quarters of the game. Leading scorers for the Dons were Jake James with 14, while Taran Krishnan, who dazzled with a trio of fourth quarter three-pointers, added 11.
