The Acalanes Freshman Football Dons Fall Short to the Amador Dons, 6-19

Acalanes vs. Amador, Sept 26

In the battle of the Don’s, our Don’s unfortunately came up short, with a final score of 6 to 19.

I will say our IR is getting pretty full these days, but I will also point out the “next man up” is stepping up. Hats off to Dax Vail who had nine carries and helped fill the gap with Joquin Bordi (22) on IR. Gaps in the O & D line are also finding very capable help from the bench.

The D-line delivered with sacks, coming from: Kyle Sanfter (67), Grady Branagh (76) and Joe Wilson (68). With five tackles, Sanfter (67) had a great night. Maxim Volpian (1) and Miles Moore (25) were the top two tacklers with seven and five, respectively. Brayden Hattersley (44) getting some time at defensive end, played effectively, posting a tackle and putting pressure on Amador’s offense.

Alec Swartz (17) had a strong defensive game. He broke up two, two point attempts and he had an interception on a fake field goal, in the end zone. Great heads up football.

Treysen Roberts (11) had a nice, well rounded game. He had two carries, two receptions, four tackles and a gorgeous 60 yard catch and run. Not to mention our one touchdown.

QB, Colton Whalen-Schlosser (9), stepped up, carrying the ball eight times. He connected with three targets, his favorite on the night being Finn Aiken (15), who had a season high six receptions.

Final Score:
Acalanes 6, Amador 19
