The Lady Dons ventured to the North Bay for the 5th time in 8 days, this time traveling close to 2 hours to take on the host Pumas. After a very fast paced first quarter, the Dons were up 14 with the lead extending to 25 points at the half. It was a barrage of 3-pointers which led to the large lead. The girls hit 11 first half 3’s with Natalie Frechman alone hitting 5 in the first 16 minutes of play. The second half was anticlimactic as the girls slowly increased their lead for a comfortable victory.
Natalie Frechman was the high scorer with 20, KK Lacanlale added 17 to go along with multiple beautiful assists, Ariana Hallstrom scored 15 and Dulci Vali and Sophie Chinn both had 12 points despite battling foul trouble. Cameron Thornton played excellent defenses all night providing the team with a spark, while Addi Ames gave the Dons valuable minutes inside with her defense and rebounding.
